We are the global market leader in dairy ingredients. Actually, every second cheese in the world contains at least one of our natural ingredients.

We are the owner of one of the world’s largest commercial collections of bacteria, numbering almost 30,000 strains. From this collection, bacteria are screened, selected and improved to meet specific requirements in food, dietary supplements, animal feed and plant protection. Within our natural colors solutions we are global front runners in encapsulation and stabilization techniques.

In 2019, our efforts within sustainability were acknowledged when Chr. Hansen was ranked as the world’s most sustainable company by Corporate Knights. This was a great tribute to all the hard work that is put into our sustainability efforts every day across our global business and a result of our many collaborative partnerships with our customers. Despite feeling humble and proud to receive this recognition, we know that our journey is far from over. A sustainable future will only be a reality if we continue to develop natural and innovative solutions for generations to come.
