At the end of August 2021, Chr. Hansen had two shareholders which each held 5% or more of the shares. An analysis of the shareholder structure showed that the United States, Denmark and the United Kingdom represent the largest regional groups of institutional investors. Around 7% of shares were held by retail investors. To meet certain obligations to deliver shares under management incentive programs, Chr. Hansen held less than 1% in treasury stock.
