3-Fucosyllactose (3-FL)

The human milk oligosaccharide 3-FL (3-Fucosyllactose) is one of the most abundant HMOs in breast milk. Research has shown, that the concentration of 3-FL actually increases in breast milk during the length of the lactation phase.1

Health benefits and studies

3-FL is especially known for lowering the risk of gut microbiome imbalance due to harmful bacteria.2, 3 Further, 3-FL has been shown to selectively stimulate helpful bifidobacteria to support overall gut health.4
