We are living in interesting and remarkable times. With the planet’s population rapidly increasing, a large global challenge of our time is securing that we grow food in a way that sustains us and the planet. Under the umbrella of the EU and partners across research institutes and universities we set up the HoloFood project - a collaborative experience where people with different perspectives come together to share the same vision.
We cordially invite you to participate in a survey for the HoloFood project to contribute with your opinions on the main production issues and challenges you face within your food production. The feedback from you, as stakeholders in the production of animals for food, will help maximizing implementation of HoloFood results, framing the innovation challenges and suggesting directions for the research activities, benefiting both on-going and future projects.
What is HoloFood?
HoloFood (www.holofood.eu) is a Horizon2020 Innovation Action, comprising 11 organisations from across Europe, with participants from both academia and industry. The project raises awareness of microbiome modulation approaches to improve food production systems by exploring host - gut interactions in two major food systems, namely salmon and poultry production, by holoomics. Holofood will use this holistic approach to improve the efficiency of food production systems by understanding the biomolecular and physiological processes triggered by incorporating feed additives and novel sustainable feeds in farmed animals.

Watch the highlights form the world's first HoloFood Co-lab
Unique virtual workshops took place in April 2021. By creating this collaborative experience, we allowed fellow researchers, academics and change-makers to problem-solve collectively, to co-ordinate, co-operate and co-create a better world, naturally.
