There is an increasing awareness and demand from consumers for natural and easy-to-understand ingredients in their food products. Within the confectionary industry, finding a natural solution that is both cost effective and easy to apply can be a challenge and has made it difficult for manufacturers to meet consumer demands for ‘naturalness’. With the launch of the SweetColor® Pink 1144 WSP and SweetColor® Red 1344 WSP colorants, Chr. Hansen now offers cost effective, vegetable-based and intense color additive solutions – applicable even for pH neutral panning. Available in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Red and pink colored candies are often consumer favorites. For confectionary manufacturers, carmine and anthocyanin based colors have been the go-to solution, when moving away from synthetics. To expand our offering beyond carmine and anthocyanins, Chr. Hansen has now developed new color additive solutions to meet the demand for intense red and pink shades.
Chr. Hansen’s new SweetColor® Pink 1144 WSP and SweetColor® Red 1344 WSP provide easy to use solutions that retain their intense color properties, even for neutral pH panning, thereby easing the panning process for confectionary manufacturers, as well as providing a vegetable-based colorant that meets consumer demands for vegetarian, kosher and halal products.
