The LGG® strain has been used in food and dietary supplements since 1990, and a large number of scientific publications and clinical studies on Lactobacillus rhamnosus (LGG®) indicate that the probiotic strain may have beneficial effects, especially within immune and gastrointestinal function.
In the new LGG® online universe we share scientific results, highlight unique selling points and make news and video content available to the scientific community. At the core of the online universe is also what we mean by Scientific Excellence by Chr. Hansen.
In addition, the website includes an overview of the applications that LGG® is currently available in, from probiotic drinking yogurt and fermented milk products, to chewable tablets and capsules.
Investment in the future
With the launch of the LGG® online universe, we also unveil new initiatives investing in the future of the LGG® strain. We call it the Scientific Excellence Program. To ensure and encourage continuous research in the LGG® strain, we support clinical research addressing valid scientific and/or clinical objectives with LGG® products.
The Excellence Program also includes a Scientific LGG® Award for an LGG® thesis or research poster and a Young Excellence Internship which grants upcoming scientific talent a 3-week internship at the Chr. Hansen laboratories.
Applications for research support, LGG® award and internship can be submitted via the new website.
