Meet our colleague Mette Honoré

Mette started working as a Laboratory Technician but is quickly working her way towards new opportunities. Learn how she experiences the development opportunities in Chr. Hansen.

My name is Mette. I’ve worked in Chr. Hansen for four years as a lab technician, and I’m 37 years old. I have a bachelor’s in medical science.

From stability to development

When I first joined Chr. Hansen it was in another job than I have today. I started working with stability on our products and after about two years I moved on, and now I work with validation and method development on our probiotics products.

Safety matters

Part of my job is also working with safety. I cover four departments, so part of my time goes with walking around our labs and offices making sure that everyone is safe and have a good working environment.

A varied work day

The most inspiring thing about the job is that it’s very varied. I work at the lab, I work at the office, I work with the data, I work with safety. I have lots of things to do and that is appreciated here in Chr. Hansen, the work that you do. And I can make my own work day.

Developing is part of the job

I definitely think that Chr. Hansen is a good place to be. If you make an effort, you are granted other opportunities. When I first came here, I didn’t have many expectations to develop. But that came along. I got the opportunity to change career in another job, and now I am looking forward to reading a master’s in biotechnology, which I have had the opportunity to do.

Like working with family

The Chr. Hansen culture is about one big family, I think. We take care of each other, we take care of each other’s work life and are interested in the personal life too. We are very social and it’s a very good place to be.

I think it’s very nice to be part of company that sells something that is good for your health, that can help many people and really makes a difference.
