The Nutrition Business Journal award is given to Jarrow Industries for their
Fem-Dophilus® product, developed in a strategic relationship between Jarrow Industries and Chr. Hansen and is based on probiotic strains.

The strains GR-1® and RC-14® used in the product are an off-spring of a strategic relationship with Dr. Gregor Reid and Dr. Andrew Bruce from Urex Biotech*. The famous doctors have isolated and extensively documented these two strains over the last 20 years.

Nominations for the NBJ Business Achievement Awards were screened, reviewed and finally determined by an internal committee of NBJ staff and editorial advisory board members. The 2006 NBJ awards will be presented in a ceremony at the NBJ Newport Summit July 18-20, 2007.
