Business is on the rise in Russia, as the local food industry is very receptive to new ideas and innovations.

At the recent All-Russian Dairy Conference, a number of fermented milk products made with Chr. Hansen ingredients/probiotics were awarded no less than 9 gold medals.

Growth on the Russian market requires new facilities

Russian food producers have discovered the quality of Chr. Hansen ingredients and as the number of Russian customers continues to grow, Chr. Hansen Moscow inaugurates its new facilities. It is the second time this happens since the Russian company was established in 1998 with five people, a 100 sqare meter office and 30 square meter warehouse.

”In 2001, we had to move for the first time, because we had grown out of our premises,” says Niels Lerche Petersen, Regional Vice President, North & Eastern Europe. At the time, the five pioneers had grown to 14 people, but in 2007, the number was 29 and again it was time to move.

”Now we have the office and warehouse space that we need to serve our customers in the best possible way,” notes Niels Lerche Petersen.
