What is GalliPro?
GalliPro is a probiotic growth promoter that delivers consistent and significant results. It has been tested in several trials around the world.
It is a heat-tolerant, in-feed probiotic that has a beneficial effect on the microbial balance in the gastrointestinal tract of broilers. A well-balanced intestinal flora leads to better feed utilization, faster growth, a lower mortality rate and better litter condition.
Why is GalliPro an innovative way to enhance broiler performance?
GalliPro is the result of an effective combination of research and product development which sought to find a probiotic that incorporates all the following key factors:
- a more effective strain - to improve animal husbandry techniques for poultry
- a stable strain which is capable of delivering the same results as the original strain, and also consists of the right formulation that helps the strain to maintain its stability and achieve the right feed dispersion.

What are the performance results in commercial broilers?
During the development of GalliPro, Chr. Hansen identified an efficient strain and conducted several in vivo trials throughout Europe, South America and North America with very positive results.
In contrast to placebo controls, broilers fed with GalliPro showed statistically significant weight gain and improved feed conversion. It is especially important to note that these results were recorded in different regions, and with different breeds and diets.
How should I use GalliPro?
Use GalliPro during the entire life cycle of chickens at an inclusion rate of 500 grams per tonne of feed. GalliPro can be used in pre-mixtures and complete feed because it survives pelleting temperatures of up to 95ºC.
Are probiotics such as GalliPro the future of poultry industry?
Yes, some experts predict a major expansion of probiotic usage in the next five years. They are convinced that probiotics will soon constitute a sizeable share of the feed additive market.

Why bother with probiotics?
On Jan. 1, 2006 the EU introduced a total ban of Antibiotic Growth Promoters (AGPs) in Europe. There is an increasing concern both amongst regulatory bodies, and the general public worldwide, about the sub-therapeutical use of antibiotics. Probiotics are an alternative, because:

- they present no danger to animals, humans or the environment
