FlavorGuard® Food protection with rosemary extract

The rosemary extract FlavorGuard is a natural and highly potent antioxidant used in many different foods to avoid randicity, off-flavor, color loss and shortened shelf life.

Rosemary is an herb that traditionally is used to flavor foods. It is also a natural and highly potent antioxidant.

Oxidation is a chain reaction that involves free radicals reacting to form undesirable compounds in food. It can occur due to air and light exposure, processing methods and package design, and may result in rancidity, color loss, off-flavors and shorter shelf life of the food products.

Natural protection against oxidation

FlavorGuard consists of a highly concentrated and standardized extract of the antioxidant compounds in rosemary leaves. It offers protection against oxidation by quenching the oxidation chain reaction. It further protects the color and flavor properties of the food product.

FlavorGuard is used for meat, poultry, processed seafood, prepared foods, fats and oils, and also allows for all natural labeling as a "natural flavoring" or "spice extractant."
