Through our daily operations, Chr. Hansen engages with a wide number of external stakeholders, ranging from customers, investors, suppliers, academia, authorities as well as the communities in which we operate. Engaging with external stakeholders plays an important role in accessing new knowledge, building new competences, identifying emerging business risks, and capturing new business opportunities.
Engaging with key suppliers
Chr. Hansen has outlined an overall ambition to have our responsible sourcing methodology fully implemented by 2019/20. Today, we ask all our key suppliers to perform vendor self-assessment covering sourcing, quality and responsibility criteria. We also engage regularly with key suppliers to share knowledge and expertise.
Connecting with customers and investors for transparent supply chains
A large portion of Chr. Hansen’s global customers and investors are interested in knowing how we perform, also on non-commercial aspects, and engage with us on a regular basis to exchange information. To ensure full transparency and visibility for our customers and investors, Chr. Hansen actively supports international initiatives and reporting platforms such as UN Global Compact, Eco-Vadis, SEDEX, the Carbon Disclosure Project and investor indices such as FTSE4Good.
