As a journalist in our Communications & PR department, I am responsible for internal communications and I edit the bi-weekly newsletter for all employees. I just transferred fully to our Communications & PR department after five years of working part-time with communication and part-time as Corporate Management Assistant.

My responsibilities

When working with internal communications, I benefit from my thorough experience of the organization, partly gained over many years of participating in top management meetings. I know at an early stage of initiatives that must be communicated to the organization and can start planning for that. The right timing is extremely important.

One of my favorite tasks is interviewing colleagues all over the world for the employee newsletter. It leads me to all corners of the company and I never cease to be impressed by all the top professional and highly committed colleagues I have.

My motivation

Chr. Hansen is an exciting company with exciting products that concern all of us. The company has high ethics and offers great colleagues in more than 30 countries. And if you want to move in a new direction and have the talent, there is full management back-up to do so. Over the past 1½ years, I have been studying journalism part-time to strengthen the skills I need in my communications job, and now I have moved on to a whole new career.

And then we have great parties! I have often been involved in organizing them, which is a lot of fun and an excellent way to get to know colleagues in a different role.
