In Pohlheim (D-35415) we are searching for a Technician in Meat & Food Safety (m/f) by the nearest possible date.
Main responsibilities:
- Planning and execution of experimental tasks with focus on the following methods:
- Classical microbiological enumeration and identification based on plating methods and sugar fermentation profiles
- Application experiments in meat products including pathogenic challenge tests
- Determination of acidification profiles of meat starter cultures by on-line pH measurements
- Metabolite analyses
Your background:
- Certified chemical, biological or pharmaceutical technical assistant, in best case supplemented with a technical education or the like
- Broad knowledge of microbiological laboratory work and quality control systems
- Able to plan and coordinate many on-going tasks in a dynamic environment
- Able to communicate in English, written and orally
- Experienced user of MS-office, preferably also Lotus Notes and LIMS

The culture development department of Meat & Food Safety (M&FS) in the Meat Business Unit of Chr. Hansen is seeking a new colleague for the experimental work in developing new and innovative solutions for the meat industry as well as scientific documentation of existing products.
M&FS develops culture solutions for the production of various meat products such as fermented sausages, cured and cooked ham products and solutions for improvement of food safety. The development and documentation of M&FS solutions takes place in a globally oriented Meat Business unit of Chr. Hansen in close collaboration with the global Innovation group in Chr. Hansen.
