GalliPro® receives final approval in Europe

Chr. Hansen expects to get the final marketing authorization in Europe for its probiotic feed ingredient for poultry within the next few months

A vote among EU member states in the Standing Committee of Animal Nutrition on April 28, 2010 resulted in the approval to use  Chr. Hansen’s active feed ingredient, GalliPro®, in industrial feed for poultry containing coccidiostats (antiprotozoal agents that act upon Coccidia parasites).

Based on this member state decision - following a positive opinion from the European Food Safety Agency (EFSA) - Chr. Hansen expects publication in the Official Journal and thus final marketing authorization within the next few months.

Good experiences in Brazil

Increases growth performance for poultry

Naturally occurring Bacillus spores

GalliPro® is a probiotic that contains selected, safe, naturally-occurring Bacillus spores. GalliPro® has proven beneficial effects, which are backed by strong data generated in scientific as well as on-farm trials. GalliPro® brings consistent and well documented results and can be used in pelletized feed as the strains are heat-resistant.
